I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher based at the Center for War Studies, University of Southern Denmark. I am leading a project examining what implications the global development of collaborative drone swarms have for the prospective agreement of a two-tiered governance approach to autonomous weapon systems.

My research explores the intersection of technology, war, and culture, with a particular focus on great power competition, military applications of AI, and security imaginaries.

My research has been published in leading journals including Big Data & Society, Contemporary Security Policy, Cooperation and Conflict, Critical Studies on Security, Defence Studies, Ethics and Information Technology, Geopolitics, and International Politics. I have recently co-edited two collections: first, a special issue on the “imaginary turn” in International Relations and Security Studies, published in Contemporary Security Policy, and second, a special section on science fiction, sociotechnical imaginaries, and future war, published in Critical Studies on Security.

I have also written research commentaries for outlets including the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the Royal United Services Institute, among others.

In addition to my research, I am an award-winning university lecturer and active contributor to the international governance debates on military applications of AI.
